This is a large handmade Murano glass goblet with intricate details in red and crystal with golden details.
In the Baroque period, competition from European producers became intense and Murano glass masters responded to the challenge by infusing their work with increasingly intricate combinations of shapes and colors.
In this period the Murano glass goblets are made with finely carved stems, which often included dolphins, snakes or flowers, were used for gifts among the nobles of the time.
This product has been handmade in Murano by Arte di Murano following the ancient techniques. Any small defects or slight difference in size as hereby indicated is due to the hand-made processing.
